Bonfire.

To the point where the squads getting light again.

Both Iwobi and Mkhi were core parts of our wide options last year, better hope Nelson or Saka explodes in development because we're not down to no spare senior wide players.

Guess Ozil could play wide as a floating CAM when needed, he's done it before?

Nelson, Saka, Smith-Rowe and Martinelli are not worse than Mkhi and Iwobi. Very happy both are gone.

Personally I would have kept Iwobi as a squad player

But the offer was good and you can see why he'd be up for leaving

They look promising but it's always easier to imagine the grass is greener when haven't had much time to watch each player over a long period.

As they start to play game in game out, we'll see their flaws and habits that they'll need to work on. It was the same for Iwobi when he on the verge of breaking into the team and making off appearances. He would look the business coming off the bench or during the odd appearance for his debut first team season.

Looking forwards to seeing the kids get more game time. Martinelli especially and we needed to make room for these guys to get games.

Maybe Emery did not believe that Roma really want him. And honestly, I did not believe it either. Glad he's gone.

I'll tell you why. It's because Emery's judgment on issues related to player ability, tactics, etc. is highly suspect. It seems to me that Raul and company can identify the issues plaguing the club atm but Emery cannot.

I honestly think that we should let Raul, Edu, or whoever's currently in charge of transfers pick the starting eleven from now on.

Loan fee is €3m according to Sky Italy and they will cover his wages. Great deal for us.

He's already in Rome for the medical so this is very close to being done. Amazing news.

We aren't light on options with him leaving. Willock and Ozil will feature more often from now on, and Nelson will get minutes as well.

Here in Rome most of the fans are happy for Mkhitaryan transfer...I think he can be fit for Italian football

But Perotti got injured and Roma have been looking for a player like him from long time... I think both clubs got what they wanted

True, I liked Iwobi in his first season when he emerged and didn't see all his flaws then or thought he might improve, but after a few seasons with the same difficulties I gave up on him.
I think some of the 4 mentioned will make it big time. Rather give them minutes than a player like Mkhi who is shit and won't ever improve again

Sky in Italy legend Valentina Fass has just given us an update on the latest news from the Mediterranean...

She said: "Henrikh Mkihtaryan just left the clinic where all Roma players go for their medicals, and he is moving towards the training ground to sign his contract.

Glad to see him go. I’d rather our youngsters be out there who are hungry for a shot.
