Teenagers executed for watching football in Iraq

Postby UFGN » Mon Jan 19, 2015 11:13 pm

ISIS militants have executed 13 teenage boys for watching the Asian Cup football match between Iraq and Jordan last week.

The young football fans had been caught watching the game on television in the Iraqi city of Mosul, which is controlled by the Islamic State.

The teenagers were rounded up and publicly executed by a firing squad using machine guns, anti-ISIS activist group Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently reports.

I'm not sure about this. It just sounds so off the wall that can it really be true? I mean, where is the logic in the punishment? If you literally punished every person for every minor infraction of Islamic law like this, then surely you'd end up with half the population dead?

If true then of course its utterly barbaric.

The fact that it seems so irrational and unfair makes it more frightening; they're terrorists and the more scared people are, the more powerful they become. It makes sense in a backwards way.

Well yes but for the same reason it would make sense as propaganda against them.

Assuming it did happen, if they are just a bunch of evil nutters then it is plausible. But if they are doing this as an interpretation of sharia law then i cant see how it is.... I'll have to ask some Muslim work mates tomorrow.

Savages. They are the lowest form of life on this earth. Sub-animals.

Absolutely despicable if true. I wouldn't even classify them as savages as that humanizes them. Pigs or scum would be a more apt classification.

It has nothing to do with the Sharia Law. Saudi Arabian loves football. They qualified for the World Cup numerous time.

This is sickening. That's what happens when religious dogmas and rituals override philosophy and logic.

No wonder some of the most intelligent "religions" in the world have little to none rituals - Zen, Taoism, Buddhism, et al.

This IS action has nothing to do with Shariat law and more to do with crushing people for supporting a team that is sent by the official regime that IS is fighting. Barbaric, obviously, but nothing to do with Shariat or Islam
