DM as far as I know

Yes he's a DM but only 17 so could still change position, especially under Wengers guidance, he'll have him playing as a striker in no time

1. If we sign this guy don't see Coquelin getting a new contract.

2. If we don't sign him it's due to Coquelin being offered a contract extension.

3. We were never interested in him.

You really think a 16 year old with 5 senior game is the reason Coquelin will get moved on and this guy can come in and do what Coquelin has been doing now at 16 :rofll:

Coquelin is third choice... There's nothing unorthodox about a 16 year old being third choice.

I didn't say he'll do a better job either I'm simply listing some possible outcomes.

Under Wenger's guidance, he'll be moulded into a steaming pile of turd.

Yes. For 3m, absolutely. We have no DMs in the youth pipeline and we're in desperate need of one.

13th of May 2012 Arsenal beat West Brom 3-2 to finish 3rd ahead of Newcastle. Gooney is still yet to leave the forum...

he's tall mobile, good on the ball and at 16 he could potentially become a home grown player, it's a no brainer tb. 3m? and he can become a 3rd or 4th choice dm, we can then move coquelin up to 1st and have arteta 2nd realistically we wont sign a dm this window but in the summer we can shift arteta and flamini out have buy a first choice dm like schneirderlin and have coquelin as our second choice and bielik as our 3rd. He can develop for a year or 2 and who could become a very useful player for us. 2.3m is nothing and it still leaves us with a significant portion of our transfer budget so we can sign a top defender like hummels or varane.

Yep sounds like a plan, I definitely agree with Arteta and Flamini out in the summer, and obviously Diaby, thats salaries and places freed up to bring in an exp DM.
