If I remember correctly at least two of the Barca - Chelsea games were highly controversial and these matches were a huge part of the creation of "UEFAlona". Still remember Ballack running like a headless chicken behind the referee and scream at him plus Drogba who might have killed the ref after the game if his teammates didn't hold him back

That was in 2009, semi final 2nd leg. Hiddink was the chelsea manager but the ref did single handedly win Barca that game. Worst ref performance of all time IMO.

Oh yeah you are right

- Their goalkeerper had the game of his life
- We should have had 10+ penalties .. shit ref
- If long term injured player xyz would have been available we would have won easily

Good point but I could raise a "counter question"
Why didn't the invisibles win the trophy in the next season ;)

Klopp may not have won as much as some on the list but his footballing intelligence and passion for the game is Second to none. Simeone has shown that no one is the custodian of the true definition of football. I love the way he sets up his teams, compact, well organized with next to no opportunity for oppositions to get in between lines. Its a pity how teams which score more but leak goals or wilt when physically challenged are given the mantle of "total football" . Last i knew even defending is a part of total football. Managers like Simeone are labeled boring when in my opinion the way his teams are set up is exciting to watch for any student of football. Guardiola"s teams have always been extremely skewed towards offence and defensively he is probably the least impressive candidate on the list

Pep.

Oversaw Barcelona during a period in which they became arguably the greatest club side of all time (2008-2011) and his teams play the most aesthetically pleasing brand of football - the stuff Barca produced was on another level to any team I've seen bar us from the early to mid 2000's.
