1 game rather than 2 if you're gonna scrap away goals.

Like the FA Cup with replays for draws or the Credit Card Cup with ET and pens?

This but it would be so harsh with some of the away draws.

The only proven winner in red and white at this club? Arsene Wenger. Sack the board.

Don't get what's so hard? Just scrap the away goal bit and just play extra time and penalties? The same as if a CL match finishes 0-0 after both legs? None of this, possession wins, or shots on target, just a simple extra 30 minutes and penalties

I don't think home advantage matters as much as it used to, so one team getting an extra 30 minutes there won't make such a difference to the outcome

That obviously wouldn't work because it would prevent one team from getting match day income.

The rules should stay as they are except that the away goals rule should not count in extra time.

Otherwise the team that plays the second leg at home has an unfair advantage.

Surprised they don't scrap it and go to a 1 off replay at a neutral ground. Usually anything for extra money from fans and sponsors.

Shared income works for the FA cup.....

I don't actually want it anyway, was more a point for those who want it gone completely. Clearly there's no home advantage in existence if a goal in the Allianz by us is no better than a goal in the Emirates :)

If so, why bother having the two games right? Neutral ground could work too.

Anytime you make a single goal count for more than one, you're playing a dangerous game.

Arbitrarily changing the fundamental rules of the sport.

If its level on goals over two legs it should go to extra time in the 2nd game imo or even straight to penalties.

I don't like the rule, who cares where a goal is scored? they all count as one.
