Class. It's unfortunate that there's loads of technically gifted women, but the abysmal quality of keepers just brings it down tbh.

This under 20 World Cup has actually been pretty good.

Brazil was on a jogo bonito tip, which was pretty fun to watch(not a great team but very stylish), theres also been three of other crackers in a couple days. Will search for them

What is the average size of womens goalkeepers? Really random but I'm sure a few years ago they were considering having smaller goals for womens football, because women are smaller in height. It seems to me if you get a shot in the top corner its guaranteed a goal, whereas a top corner in mens football some keepers can get to it?

I'd say somewhere between 5'8'' and 5'10'', but there are several who are around and above 6 ft. At the highest level a 5'7'' female keeper is like a 6'0'' male keeper and is considered 'on the shorter side' but just like with men they're often more agile, better reflex and quicker to get down.

True, but then it's the reach that gets them especially up high. I always thought it was a stupid idea to change the goal size just for women, but after watching some games, it might be worth considering to improve the level of play?

If you're anything other than a GK, you'd be like WTF we are we shooting in kiddie size goals.

Female football players would be the first to object.

I think the players would be the first to object.

I'm not suggesting 5 a side goals lol

But, even when I'm playing against a proper keeper during 7 a side we use around 3/4 size goals and if you have a decent keeper it's a great size as it's a real challenge. Now 3/4 goals for a professional female keeper would be too small, but even just 4-6 inches lower and say 6-10 inches narrower. Not a massive difference but could improve standards of shooting accuracy and give smaller keepers a chance? It means keepers will be based on skill, and not necessarily size?

Again Female football players would riot, you can be tall or short just like men.So it really wouldnt happen.

Its also like saying men should decrese the size of their goals to give smaller Keepers (Me 5"9 at the time) a chance,

The Skill , Size aspect of it applies to the mens game just as it does the womens. If you can touch the crossbar and id say 5"7 with a spring you can keep goal effectively.

Its a very male like idea though lol.
