Arsenal youngster Wellington Silva finally eligible to play for Arsene Wenger's side after gaining work permit
Brazilian joined Arsenal in 2010 but is yet to make an appearance due to work permit problems
Arsenal youngster Wellington Silva is finally eligible to play for Arsene Wenger's side after gaining a work permit to ply his trade in England.
The 21-year-old Brazilian was signed for a reported £3.5million fee from Fluminense in 2010, but has been unable to play for the Londoners due to work constraints.
Instead he has been loaned out five times to Levante, Alcoyano, Ponferradina, Murcia and Almeria, where he is currently based.
However, the former Brazil Under-17 international is now eligible to play for Arsenal from next season.
Talking about being granted the relevant paperwork, he said: "It is very important for me. I could go back to Arsenal next season if Wenger wants me to.
However, he added: "I am not going to worry about my future and my only desire right now is to help Almeria preserve their La Liga status.
"At this moment, I am focused on the present."
Wellington is yet to hit the target in six La Liga appearances for Almeria this campaign.
