ESPN2 over this side of the pond hyping the hell out of MLS All-Stars vs. Bayern Munich. All they keep mentioning is what it would mean if the MLS All-Stars beat Bayern. Like seriously!? This is a freaking friendly for Bayern Munich. If the MLS beats Bayern, then WOOHOO!!!! The best players taken from the entire league beat Bayern's reserve side! Not that much to write home about especially when Bayern's first team would decimate the MLS All-Stars. I get that the analysts are doing it for ratings, but c'mon now behave.

2-1 win for MLS. A good game, well done by them. I love Thierry Henry. And that Valeri cross _O_

Always good seeing Pep annoyed, even in a friendly.

Bayern put out a pretty strong team actually. Far from a reserve side.

Bayern team & subs last night according to the Daily Fail.

Bayern Munich: Starke (Neuer 62), Martinez, Rafinha, Alaba (Robben 86), Gaudino (Dante 62), Pizarro (Green 37, Lahm 82), Bernat (Bastian Schweinsteiger 80), Rode (Muller80), Hojbjerg (Boateng 73), Lewandowski (Contento 80), Shaqiri (Gotze 80).

German players due back Monday I believe.
Germans have a mid winter break which helps comply with FIFA regulations on time off for players.
Reckon only when the season is over can people truly assess whether its a mistake or not.

Ooops, wrong thread

Results from the Bundesliga vs BPL "friendly day"

Spurs - Schalke 2:1
Southhampton - Leverkusen 0:1
Augsburg - Crystal Palace 0:0
Paderborn - Everton 3:1  (Paderborn played 2.Bundesliga last season, Everton without Lukaku, Mirallas and Coleman)
Leicester City - Werder Bremen 1:0
Freiburg - Stoke 1:1

#GoonersWorldExcuses
- Their goalkeerper had the game of his life
- We should have had 10+ penalties .. shit ref
- If long term injured player xyz would have been available we would have won easily
