Probs played just as many games in fairness, we did play Barca 1700 years in a row.

I know it's a sin for Gooners to like Messi and I'm the only one who - despite being a fan of one - still likes the other. But bloody hell.

For a person who neither belongs to your country, club, or plays for your club - people here do love villainizing one because of their devotion towards the other.

It's really sad. Really sad when you can't appreciate one because of your obsession with the other.

Gooner_LK6 wrote:He already does well against english teams in the champions league. To think he'd have a problem against teams like Wolves, Everton, Watford etc is absurd.

If he was playing for Barcelona in the premier league then he'd score shit load past these teams

But he wouldn't be.

He'd be playing for an English team with a different style to the comfort zone hes always been in at club level. Hes horrendous for Argentina. We don't know if he can do it in an English side. Or an Italian side or PSG, Bayern whoever cos he hasn't got the balls to leave his comfort zone and test himself. Hes settling and that's up to him but hes also not the best player in the world cos of it. Best player at Barca? No doubt, he can claim that.

And just cos he does well at one club doesn't mean he will at another, Another world class Argie comes to mind, a certain Juan Sebastian Veron, this guy was amazing in Serie A. He was that damn good. One of the best midfielders in the world. Joined Man Utd, commendable. Tried a new challenge. Respect that. Flopped like a mother f***er though and well he never recovered

Messi probably seen this and thought, f**k that, i'd rather be the best player Barca ever had than take a risk and make a legitimate claim to being the best ever cos lets face ithe would be if he can prove he can do it elsewhere.

Never will

And thus he isnt

It is ridiculous

I mean the mods changed my sig ffs cos they cant bear Messi not being seen as a god so I quit changing it back and leaving it blank.

Don't understand why a non Arsenal player being highlighted as a diver should matter on an Arsenal forum but it is what it is

Im with you on this. Cba.

If anyone wants to reply to my post above sensibly then im all up for a discussion but if its the usual youre trolling crap or sucking Ronaldo off or whatever, (I didn't mention Ronaldo btw) then please don't reply

You lot are so filled with hatred and biasedness. God help ya.

I expect this from Cripps because he gets paid to hate on Messi and Argentina but.. Ah well.

Haven't said one thing against Messi in the few posts I've just made so not sure what you're on about.Just made 2 light hearted comments.

Find it boring when it turns into Messi v Ron all the time so deleted my post such not to encourage it further.

You get so emotional over Messi it's unreal, understandable being Argentinian but still.

while i cannot claim to "like" ronaldo, i kinda dislike his "persona, if you will..... but i respect the living shit outta him cos he's prolly the best pure goal scorer ever... and madly talented.

it's a very weird phenomenon for "gooners" to exhibit this egoic aggrandizement with cr7

ach IS cripps... i think

and it is his mission to slam messi and wank himself silly over cr7. what the motive is i will not guess at.

cr7 is way more of an independent personality than messi from my perspective. messi litreally needs the comfort of barca, i think.
barca seems to be his psychological home. a kinda introvert/extrovert thing ...

I like CR7 the player as well as Messi

No reason why as a functioning adult you can’t appreciate both their greatness

Just think Messi has been and always will be a better footballer & he’s the best of all time. There have clearly been years when Ronaldo has had better seasons however
