Was about to say this.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42896116There is an absolute bonfire of deadwood going on at the Emirates.
Wenger's reign of terror is truly coming to a fast end.
I like these new cats we have in charge .......... kinda feels like they want to win football matches.
They would of signed a DM and a defender than?
Exactly. Clearing out squad players with not replacements is hardly a sign of intent. Who's are no. 2 right back now? Our no.1 is untouchable and just isn't that good.
PEA should be an upgrade on Giroud. Mkh is a sideways replacement at best for Sanchez (given how AS destabilized team spirit). It was an ok transfer window but we would need one hell of a run to finish top four (at a minimum 11 wins and a draw out 13 remaining matches are needed - 75 points wasn't enough last season and Chelsea - in 4th spot - are on for 76 points this season).
Which means we need to put everything on the Europa League. Which we have a chance at. But will Wenger bother to scout opposition? Will he motivate the team? Will the defence be organised to deal with quality opposition (Madrid, Dortmund, Napoli, Milan)?
We could repeat José's season from last year almost exactly: 6th place, League Cup, Europa League and Charity Shield!
We'd all love that!
