Wow, Back to United.Would be awesome. To see him back at the greatest league in world . But it would increase the chance for United to win the league title ffs . With Cristiano they can beat Liverpool and Manchester City.

Doubt it. They'll probably manage to get past CL group stage though.

Will Cavani be forced to give up the No.7 shirt?

Look forward to seeing him in the PL again.

Will be fascinating to see if he can reproduce his amazing form in the more physical league at his age.

If he knocks out 1-2 stellar seasons for Utd, it would be an astounding achievement and a fine finale for a titan of the game.

The guy is an amazing athlete and the fact of what he still achieve at his age shows how the modern game has either declined or Ronaldo is freak status you decide.
He wouldn't have made any AW team in the last 6 years he is too old.
Point is proper world class players can play to what ever age messi, Ronaldo, Maradona, pele, Stanley Mathews, Henry, Bergkamp.
Somehow world class in Arsenal terms got to Wilshire and Ramsey.
World class is permanent consistancy not a run of form for a few games

Ronaldo (and Messi - I don't propose to debate who is better) is just a freak force of nature. It's not just about talent - on pure talent it might be arguable that there have been (and are) others on the same level. It is about consistency and longevity of exceptional performance levels.

The fact Ronaldo has sustained astounding performance levels for well over a decade (getting close to two decades now) is astonishing.

Never mind club loyalties and views of these players as people, purely as a fan of the game I feel lucky to have lived during this era when two absolutely ludicrous football geniuses vied with each other.

Will be great to have one of them in the PL again. I hope he smashes it (except when playing us, when he should bomb of course :-)).
