Post here your views and/or videos of talented young players. (Maximum age: 20)
I'll start off with Youri Tielemans.
Position: central midfield
Height: 5'10''
Birth year: 1997
When Tielemans made his debut for Anderlecht a few weeks ago - after having only just turned 16 - his performance was jaw-dropping. His confidence on the ball at such young age reminds me a bit of a 18-19 year old Dembélé but what makes him so special (to me) is not only his vision to spot a pass but also his ability to execute that pass, regardless what the range is. People lately have been talking about Zelalem, Januzaj, Bakkali etc but this kid is in a different stratosphere.
Anderlecht were hopeless in that game, he was carrying the entire team on his debut at the age of sixteen that day. They were facing Lokeren, quality wise they [Lokeren] are currently more or less the equivalent of clubs like Forest or Middlesbrough, but with a tighter budget, just to give you an idea.
After this game, every other game he's played he was just as influencial but I opted to pick this game not only because it was his debut-game but also because he pretty much carried the team as if he had 5+ years of professional football under his belt. The Dutch commentator was losing his marbles a bit, hehe.
Anyway, here are the highlights of the game I was talking about:
Best parts:
0:40-1:00
2:05-2:16
2:27-3:10
3:20-3:40
3:50-4:00
