He signed an extension with Atleti last summer partially to ensure he could leave next year and let the club pick up a fat transfer fee. Levy would have a heart attack if he was asked to pay anywhere near AM's valuation.

They'll probably win the title next year.

Hazard, Jovic & Vinicius is a fantastic front line

Add to that ferland mendy at left back, Eder Militao at centre half, Rodrygo in the long term and an increasingly probable move for Pogba/Eriksen on the cards - they could be back to the top in no time

From needing a loan to pay players a year and a half ago to buying €255MM (€310MM with Mendy next week) worth of players thus far this window. What a club. Papa Flo back at it :') <3

CL and La Liga are back on the menu after such a trying season. Zizou can do something with the incoming players. Hala Madrid

Arsenal needs to strive to be more like Real. A season without trophies is an abomination that requires a revolution in the summer window.

Arsenal can learn a lot from Chelski about getting good value from a player with 1 year left on his contract. Both Sanchez and Ramsey should have been sold in the summer before their contracts expired.

For Chelski to get £80m plus add-ons that make it a £100m+ deal is very good business, and when their transfer embargo expires they will have a few quid to spend.

Real are bankrolled by the Spanish state ie tax payers through loans they dont pay back.

Chelsea acquired a f**k load of high end prime aged assets way back via Russian oil money, didnt play 95% of them and sold them on continuously.

We've never really been in a position to emulate either of those models and even when we did have assets to sell (Sanchez, Ramsey etc) we f***ked up and let then walk away for free, thus losing out on probably just under 100m to reinvest.

Not only that, we've managed to make it uniquely worse for ourselves by taking on a declining 30 year old on massive wages and no resale value.

Gazidis was incompetent compared to Abramovich and in hindsight it's a good thing that he left.

As for real, keep dreaming. Them and city are the only clubs that are financially backed by a country other than Erdogans team and Turkey and they arent really in a league where they can attract the best.

What loans don't Real pay back? If you're talking about preferential tax breaks, then that's a number of clubs in Spanish football, not just Real. And by a court ruling, the club has paid back money owed.

Most ever spent on incoming transfers in a single window. €317 million so far with a midfielder to go (and maybe Mbappe later in the summer if his situation changes).
