Something is very odd about their transfer dealings for a club that is bankrupt
In order to 'raise' roughly €200m, Barcelona agreed to sell a 10% stake in their LaLiga TV rights for the next 25 years to an American private equity group.
Uefa's FFP system is full of loopholes, predominantly because national and international law prevents FFP from being effective. (Of course, Uefa has always known this and benefited from it.)
I understand how they have raised the money. It seems a strange one though. Essentially kicking the can down the road and hoping for the best.
Anyway but point was more how is signing a 34 year old with no re-sale value on big wages good business.
I guess you could argue he may last until 37/38 ala Ronaldo. But does Lewandoski really have the same commercial clout as CR7 or Messi ?
They should be thinking about the future imo and building another young blooded squad.
