Unfair comparison tbh.

Gilberto was as good a DM as Cesc was a CM though.

Gilberto might be the most underrated player in PL history.

Possibly but Arsenal fans know the truth. He was everything Fernandinho is and so much more

I always say it's not a coincidence that the Invincibles collapsed after his injury.

Most dominant CMS in PL history.

1. Keane
2. Vieira
3. Lampard
4. Gerrard
5. Scholes
6. Cesc

If you're talking dominance Lampard is below both Gerrard and Fabregas.

They had a greater influence over games, Lampard was not an orchestrator nor did he dictate the pace of games.

Career more or less over. Hardly played for a couple of years.

Never as good many thought. Disappearing acts after Xmas in many seasons. Pining for other clubs.

When he was good, he was very good but it's telling at this young age he's finished

Hey Cripps! Lol

But you rate Ozil and there seems to be a blindspot when he goes missing.

So you are power and glory of that other place? I did wonder.

Ozil is a better player for us than cesc ever was so some leeway is understandable

Yep, it's me from that other place. Lol.

Agree to disagree on Ozil. Will try to stay out of the Ozil debates for 2019 and pray we find a way to utilise him to stop all the debates.

That went well then

It's hard, I try to stay out too, but then I just can't bite my tongue. I'm sure we all get that from time to time.

30 when he joined Chelsea past his best imo, Kante already surpassed him in the prem for me

Yaya Toure also in the mix

Football wise I don't think makelele was anywhere as talented as them guys, or even someone like a G.silva that isn't really mentioned, which kind of goes against him, incredible player though.

He played every game for brazil when they won the world cup the summer we signed him. Unsung hero for both club and country. Truly world class DM.
