I love how everyone keeps putting Gomez in yet so far he's never managed a season free from a serious injury, quality talent no doubt but I have some concerns he won't get the chance to develop

Tanzania U17 captain Abraham Morris is kicked in the face and stomped on by a Burundi player in the Africa Cup of Nations

TANZANIA Under 17’s captain Abraham Morris has been floored in the African Cup of Nations by a ridiculous karate-style kick to the face.

With Tanzania leading Burundi 2-1 in injury time, Morris was attempting to run down the clock by the corner flag but he was quickly stopped in his tracks by a crazy spinning back kick which caught him flush on the chin.

To add insult to injury, the offender then stomped on the wounded Morris as he lay lifeless on the field.

Remarkably, the Burundi played avoided seeing a red or even a yellow card for the shocking challenge.

The injured Morris eventually got up on his feet before the referee blew the final whistle, with the game ending 2-1 to Tanzania.

UEFA have to come down on that bunch of Serbians. Ban Serbia B or make them play their remaining qualifiers at that cold war relic of a stadium behind closed doors.
