Big difference. Ozil was training with the first team, despite being cut from the squad.

Auba is being told to train alone, despite us having no backups, and Laca and Nketiah's form being just as bad.

I think Arteta is learning from a past mistake. Kinda. Lol. We struggled for creativity when Ozil was chopped but each week he trained with the players and they could see how good he was. Someone in the camp must have questioned why he wasn't getting picked whilst still looking sharp in ttraining. Can't really risk having Auba's influence around and especially since he was captain. They need to hurry up and sell him.

Wait what? That's the best one yet. He was sooo good in training. :dizzy:
Wonder what those same players thought when he was so shit in the actual games missing chances from a yard out?
Must have been relief he wasn't playing, because the goals started flowing.

There's no sale happening, we will need to pay him to leave or shoulder the bulk of his loan wages. same as we did with Ozil and everybody else who's contracts were terminated.

Yup. It’s like Arteta doesn’t understand how football works. Having been a player surely this can’t come as a surprise.

Anyone that wants Auba will have us over a barrel, Arteta has done this a few times now and everytime it’s cost the club, we won’t get a decent fee nor will we get someone to take on his wages because they’ll know we’re desperate to get rid.

At best I reckon we’ll loan him and cover some of his wages.

Driving transfer values to below zero is an Arteta + Edu specialty. Publicly exiling players on massive wages makes them impossible to move on for a fee. So we have to pay them off like we would a sacked manager.

Haven't scored in 5 games and the clown is still ostracising Auba, yup good management tactics.

Aubameyang is being left at home as the squad travel to Dubai for a mid season training camp.

You can't keep giving a player chance after chance and accept he won't follow the rules. At some point you simply axe the player and only offer a route back if he profusely apologies and changes his ways. He was supposed to be our captain and he was setting a poor example both on and off the pitch.
If we was a top goalscorer and we really needed him, then maybe he could get away with more and the other players would understand why he was getting away with the off field behaviour.

It’s odd that it seems to happen time and time again when Arteta, this isn’t a one off.

Why does he keep falling out with players?

For me he has been treated unfairly. He did the business for us since he signed, scored plenty of goals and almost singlehandedly won us the FA Cup in 2020. Seems he has no respect for Arteta, Edu etc and lets be honest who can blame him?

Hope he goes somewhere else, bangs in goals for fun and further humiliates the frauds running this club.

It's a good sign.
The players that don't meet the standards of behaviour set by the club get dumped no matter who they are.
It makes things very clear for every player.

Is it, is suggest having this happen time and time again is problematic on various levels, financially it affects the value of assets, team morale wise it can have an impact and he does seem to have different standards for different players, for example Xhaka gets away with a lot more than others.

It also probably puts players off from coming knowing that he could just turn against them.

I don’t disagree with dealing with players that break rules, but the way he does it seems particularly dictatorial and it does seem to happen rather a lot.

Maybe it should be handled more sensitively too.
