Alexis Sánchez ~ El Niño Maravilla

Postby AFC10 » Wed Mar 20, 2013 12:31 am

Arsenal are among clubs to have expressed interest in Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez.
The 24-year-old Chile international has endured an indifferent season at the Camp Nou and Barcelona are understood to be willing to listen to offers in the summer.
Inter Milan have already made contact with the player's representatives and Barcelona anticipate Arsenal will follow up their longheld interest.

Sanchez snubbed offers from Manchester United and City to join Barcelona from Udinese for £22million in 2011.
United were particularly frustrated as they believed the player was joining them until Barcelona's late intervention and manager Sir Alex Ferguson will watch developments closely over the next few months.
Arsenal are weighing up several attacking targets for the summer with an overhaul of their under-performing squad expected.
They have also scouted St Etienne's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and will face strong competition as their rivals look to capitalise on the Londoners' stuttering season and notorious indecision in the transfer market.

Sanchez, though, would suit their style and a move to the Emirates has been backed by the player's former sporting director at Udinese Fabrizio Larini.
Larini said: 'Sanchez needs to play the ball on the ground, just like Arsenal. That would be his ideal game.
'I do not know his current situation at the Spanish club. But his fitness problems have definitely limited his performances.
'The only thing that these teams will have to consider is that he is a player who needs freedom to play his way. In teams that have particularly rigid patterns of play he might have a few problems.'
Liverpool and Juventus have also shown interest. Some clubs have sounded out Barca about an initial loan with view to a permanent deal but those requests are likely to be rebuffed.

Oh good, just what we need. Another AM / Winger!

Surely he'll be over-priced.

I know where not exactly short on AM, but i would love to see Sanchez at Arsenal. Cant see us being his first choice. Even less if we dont get a CL spot.

He'd be welcome in my book. Tommy looks to be on his way out and it looks certain that Arsenal will move for David Villa so Tommy-Villa deal is probably on the cards. I doubt we could swoop Sanchez in that deal too but hey, no harm in trying ;)

Sanchez agent set for Juve visit

The agent of Arturo Vidal and Alexis Sanchez will reportedly meet with Juventus before the end of this month. Fernando Felicevich is set to catch up with Juventus director general Beppe Marotta, who signed Vidal in 2011, ahead of this summer’s transfer market. The Old Lady will reportedly make enquiries about Sanchez who could be made available for a move by Barcelona at the end of the campaign. Although the former Udinese man is not believed to be at the top of the club’s wish-list, he is a possible target depending on how the market evolves. Juve were interested in the Chilean before he moved to Spain in 2011. Inter are also reportedly keen on the South American forward. Think you know your Italian football? Don't want. He's been shit for Barca. Also, he's mostly a winger and not a CAM. He did play SS for Udinese at times though.

He is a cross between a winger and an attacking midfielder. We need an out and striker and not one more hybrid.

Or keep Poldi on the left, buy a center forward, and have Alexi fight for a starting spot on the right. Walcotts getting rusty/uninterested and needs some competition on the right

The whole team needs competition or each position needs competition. Having added qaulity isn't a crime. Its what we needed 08. 'never learns'.
