Gnabry - This is a very big chance for me
Serge Gnabry is determined to make the most of his "big chance" at Arsenal’s training camp in Germany.
The exciting winger turned 17 in July, and signed his first professional contract before winning a call-up to Arsène Wenger’s squad for the pre-season trip.
Gnabry impressed in the reserves last season with a string of accomplished displays and has now set his sights on making a further breakthrough.
“It has gone very well and I am enjoying being involved with the first team very much,” he told Arsenal Player. “I am trying my best and working as hard as I can.
“This will give me an advantage because it is something different and I can learn a lot from the players. I wasn't quite sure if I was going because I had some injury problems before. But when they finally told me I was going I was buzzing.
“It is a very big chance and I hope I take it. At the beginning I was a bit nervous but I settled down after some time. You just get into training, try your best and then learn a lot from the other players.”
Gnabry played six times for the reserves last season after quickly making the step up from the Under-18s, where he scored six times in nine appearances.
The Germany youth international is keen to build on last season’s promising form and has already targeted the Capital One Cup as his next step towards the first team.
“The boss tells me that I have a good chance and I have to use it,” he said. “This season I hope to get some appearances in the Capital One Cup and even in the Premier League. I just have to try my best and hopefully train with them every day to develop myself.
“It was a huge step for me [to join Arsenal initially] but I was delighted. I am proud to be a Gunner and I am just trying to enjoy my time here at the Club.”

Spain international Cazorla joined up with his new team-mates at their German training camp on Monday and he, together with young winger Serge Gnabry, have impressed Vermaelen.
“Cazorla has trained two or three times and he fits in really well with the Arsenal philosophy and how we want to play,” said Vermaelen. “He is a great signing.
“This is the first time I have seen Serge, but you can see he is really quick, good with the ball and a really talented player.”
