Spain international Cazorla joined up with his new team-mates at their German training camp on Monday and he, together with young winger Serge Gnabry, have impressed Vermaelen.

“Cazorla has trained two or three times and he fits in really well with the Arsenal philosophy and how we want to play,” said Vermaelen. “He is a great signing.

“This is the first time I have seen Serge, but you can see he is really quick, good with the ball and a really talented player.”

Arsenal.com run stories that make these kids sound like new signings - they aren't!!!

Watt was hardly hyped at all. Don't remember reading much about him.
Anyway I like to read about our kids, some of them ARE exciting. What's wrong with arse.com talking about our kids? Other clubs have nothing worth talking about, they wish they had our kids.

Sure, most of them won't make it but that doesn't mean we shouldn't talk about them.

Gnabry signs first professional contract

Postby Arsenal Tone » Fri Aug 10, 2012 7:29 pm

An example of what annoys me was the one where England trained at our training ground and when a few of our youngsters jouned in the headline was 'connolly invited to train with england'. As if our youngster was on the verge of a call up, rather than just having a kick around.

I don't mind them doing interviews and features on players but to have the main article on arsenal.com being about a 15/16 year old signing professional terms irritates me.

It feels like we are being told to celebrate them as if they were new signings when the majority might not even make the league cup team.

Him and Ox posted a picture on twitter of them standing next to each other, and they look very similar.

Nah you're taking the news flow too seriously. Arse.com struggle to have anything to talk about every single day, especially in pre-season. Not much happens at the club on a day-to-day basis so even a kid signing professional terms counts as news.
A perfect example is the article they put up a few days ago about the women's sprinter Allyson Felix. The only connection was that she happens to be a gooner. She's not even in the GB team ffs she's American!

They have nothing better to talk about.

Some comments about him from Vermaelen:

Anyway, I think we have so many players that can play as a winger in the club. Walcott, Ox, Gerv, Podolski, Cazorla, Santos, Arshavin. We still have Gnabry, Ryo and co in our reserves. But we have no real penalty box predators. You know, the Alan Shearer type. Only Giroud fits this description, but he's not been tested yet. The others are not penalty box strikers.

Dudu was great before that miserable injury, but he was not that great in the air. Alan Smith was more likely.

Think we should make an official thread for this guy as it looks like there's going to be big things for him.

reading a lot this morning that if Walcott does leave in January, Gnarby has been promised by Wenger he'll be his replacement. Not sure if that's a wise move, we should probably be going for the likes of Lopez! but I'm all for giving him a chance, have enough faith in him.
