Think we should start him over Djourou until Sagna/Jenkinson gets back, played much better there than Johan has.

djourou did ok against slower opponents but against nani he was lost. so I think we should rotate. depends on the opponent.

We should have offloaded Djourou years ago. Bartley should be at the club getting games instead. Yennaris should definately get the nod until Sagna is back, I'd even have him in ahead of Jenkinson.

Agree on Yennaris but we shouldn't offload Djourou imo, he is a perfect guy to have on the bench on in case someone gets injured. As long as he can play in his natural position as CB he'll do fine.

In hindsight yes, it would have made sense to get rid of Djourou, but not too many of us knew for sure that he'd be so shit, cause he really was never given too many chances, now that he has, it is an easy thing to say. But folks were talking about getting rid of RvP too (cause of all his injuries), if we would've listened to them we'd be f***ked right now.

I too would like to see Bartley here instead, hopefully that will happen next season.

Djourou and Senderos came through at about the same time. I always thought big Phil was the better of the two. When we offloaded Phil we should have sold Djourou too.

I agree, but neither of them really had many chances to impress before this season and last (Djourou), but now that we have seen Djourou be consistently shit we can feel safe in letting him go.

I was impressed by Yennaris, considering he was out of position at right-back. He was caught out of position a few times and occasionally lost him man but he recovered well and all things considered, i thought he coped very well in a position that isn't natural to him.

Nico looks like a good prospect and i wouldn't mind if he's given a run of games at RB until Sagna returns from injury.

According to Arsenal.com hes comfortable at CB RB and midfield so it wasnt such a big jump for him. I always thought he was an RB anyways.

Either way, its time to stick him in.

He is a midfield conversion.

Completely nullified Nani in the second half, i was impressed with his speed and tenacity.

Djourou was poor but come on, he has done a good job at RB IMO and he gets forward well considering he is out of position.

He may never be good enough to start but he can always do a job for us.

His positioning as well, he seemed to be able to set himself well to give himself time to make/get to a challenge. The only thing i was a bit concerned about was his delivery into the box, but only time will tell if its a flaw in his game or just nerves going forward and being the provider.

I wont blame JD for poor form at RB, who would expect a 6ft 4in CB to properly take on a specialist WF like Nani. Its like asking Denilson to fill in at CB and getting upset that he keeps getting beat in the air....

Arsenal coach Neil Banfield feels next season Nico Yennaris will go out on-loan.

The England youth international fullback tasted first team action last season.
Arsenal keen to send Nico Yennaris away on-loan

Banfield told arsenal.com: "He has done really well at full back, some may not think of him as a natural full back but I have always been impressed with him there. We call him a slow burner, he suddenly lights. He has done ever so well, he got involved with the first-team squad and I think the manager was pleased with his performances.

"I think he will be in the category that the manager might think needs another year out on loan. It is all the manager's decision."

I personally believe Nico Yennaris is much better than Jenkinson. Ideally we need to have a quality back-up to Sagna but as we know we have other priorities so i feel its Jenkinson who needs to go out on loan and not Yennaris. If we are not signing a new RB we need to keep Nico here and if anybody has to go on loan it must be Jenkinson. Nico looks composed on the ball and when he came on against united he looked like he had been on this stage all life.

He needs another loan, did well at County for two games before getting injured.

He will go out on loan again. Heard good reports about Yennaris but i fear he will not make it with us.
I want Carl Jenkinson back in a Arsenal shirt next season.
