Arsenal are hoping to move on several players this summer and Campbell could be one of them. The 24-year-old Costa Rica attacker spent 2016-17 on loan at Sporting Lisbon, where he made just eight starts in all competitions, and has one year left on his contract with the Gunners. Turkish newspaper Hurriyet report that Galatasaray are keen on Campbell and have made a bid of £2.6million.

We had a chance for selling him for at least 10m in 2014, but Wenger kept him despite clearly not rating him. What a waste of money

Don't think we've ever sold players at their price.

Again this is down to Wengers dithering about and constantly thinking on whether he should or not.

He deserved more playing time in 14/15. He kinda impressed at least compared to Walcott and Ox in this time.
But last season he has really bad stats in his loan to Sporting Lisbon. In 28 games he scored 3 times and assisted 4 times.
I agree, that he could be a dcent LWB (very similar to Ox on RWB), but what is the use of him staying, when Wnger clearly doesn't rate him? Same concept applies to Lucas.

His number was taken by Campbell and he wasn't given a new number.

We should have taken the 10m after the 2014 WC. Now he's worth pennies

Edited: taken by Lucas obviously

Sorry for the very confusing text I've written:
Lucas was no. 9, Campbell was 29
Now Laca is no. 9, Lucas 28 and Campbell wasn't given a number at all

I think it's just a precautionary step, if we can't sell him.
I think he wants to offload one or two forwards after signing Laca and Perez will be the first unfortunately.

Joel Campbell tells Arsenal he is reluctant to go on loan for sixth time

https://www.theguardian.com/football/20 ... sixth-time

Cant we just sell him? He is 25 yo and obviously not living up his potential.
