Second half just kicked off as Henry's Monaco are 0-1 down to Vieira's Nice.

Nice striker Ihsan Sacko got sent off just before HT so this should make for an interesting second half.

Teenager Badiashile equalises for Monaco.

Nice defence didn't look good during the corner that lead to Monaco's goal.

Close margins -

Yeah Youcef Atal went down before contact was made.

Fine piece of dribbling before that, though.

Benaglio

The Referee got to see the replay after the VAR called ruled a clear error and still he ends up making the wrong call.

Awful officiating.

Not looking good for Henry's Monaco again today.

1-2 down at home to Strasbourg after failing to beat Vieira's 10-men on Wednesday.

Now that senior players have returned from injury and with the additions of Naldo and Fàbregas, his team has got to start delivering.

Unfortunately the former got himself sent off with a straight red 7 minutes into the game.

The man just can't catch a break.

And a fifth goal followed soon after.

Red card didn't help but not sure what he was thinking playing a legless Fàbregas in a two men midfield with Tielemans.

Problem is his attitude as well.

He swears a lot on the touchline, is too smug, and has Conte/Pep's authoritarian tendencies. It works for them because they are elite managers. And just because Henry was an elite player, well, that doesn't give him a birthright to win.

I feel Henry is still in Henry, the player, mode. He needs to evolve. He needs to become more like his mentor than trying to forge into Pep-lite.

Just my interpretation of the situation.

I don't disagree. This echoes what I feel about Henry as well.

Just think we can not ignore how unfortunate he has been with injuries when he first arrived at Monaco.

At one point Monaco had 11 first team regulars out injured simultaneously.

Just imagine what our matchday squad would look like with the collective absence of Torreira, Özil, Sokratis, Kolasinac, Xhaka, Monreal, Aubameyang, Ramsey, Bellerín, Leno and Lacazette.

Cech
Lichsteiner   Koscielny Holding   Niles
Guendouzi   Elneny
Smith-Rowe Mkhitaryan   Saka
Welbeck

Subs: Iliev, Jenkinson, Mustafi, Medley, Mavropanos, Willock, Nketiah

    :scared:

Monaco's early season misfortunes seems to have sent the squad into a negative spiral which they (so far) have been unable to get out of.
