Romelu Lukaku

Postby liam_cork » Wed Oct 06, 2010 6:34 am

Romelu Lukaku's agent has confirmed Arsenal's interest in him, but has denied that Arsene Wenger had lodged a bid for the Belgian starlet.

The Anderlecht striker is one of the most sought after young players in world football and has been constantly linked with a host of clubs.

Chelsea are widely reported to be leading the chase for the 17-year-old, who is already a full international.

But now Arsenal boss Wenger is said to be very keen on Lukaku and his brother Jordan, who plays in the Anderlecht youth set-up.

One of Lukaku's representatives, Christophe Henrotay, has confirmed the interest from Arsenal.

"An offer from Arsenal? I have read this news but there is no sign of any formal offers," he told Calciomercato.

"The interest of the English club is real and we have good relations with them, but there is nothing concrete."

Lukaku and his father, Roger, a former professional, have stated that he would not be moving until next summer at the earliest, when he will have finished his studies.

Could potentially be the next Henry for us, his record and ability at 17 is ridiculous.

A lot of great Belgian players coming through, and we have the Captain and one of the best in Vermaelen!

He idolises Drogba and is a Chelsea fan and Drogba has personally called him and told him to join Chelsea

So when Drogba retires, expect Lukaku to rape us for the next 18 years as he is still young

I hope to God we are interested... that guys makes Drogba look like a scrawny little bitch. (which is why I know we're not after him, we only sign sissy nannies)

Edited, not worth it...

He'd probably slip a disc picking up his luggage from the airport as soon as he signed for us anyway.
