Most Wenger players see their very best under him.

It's 50-50 for me a lot of players went on to win titles at other teams.

There are loads. There's even more that left and finally won titles (Cesc, RVP, Nasri etc.)

    Ashley Cole
    Anelka
    van Bronckhorst
    Gnbary
    Malen
    Diarra
    Bennacer

↑ I think what Angelito meant is there aren't many players, like Szczęsny, who didn't fully excel under AW—despite having had substantial game time to do so—but did end up making notable progression after having moved elsewhere.

All in your list did well under Wenger except Gnabry who was a real loss. Malen was too young. I would put Bennacer in the same camp as Ozyakup or Reine Adelaide. Not top drawer.

This. Thank you.

Just couldn't bother clarifying.

Cesc was compared to Xavi during his time at Arsenal. SAF named him the best midfielder in the Prem. When Mancini was asked who he would like to sign, he named Cesc. Real wanted Cesc.

The same Cesc lost all his appeal at Barca. He never replicated his Arsenal form ever again.

An example.

Can't be bothered with those who can't seem to understand.

Likewise when people post one thing but mean something else.

Think Szczesny might be the only player who excelled after he left Wenger.

Most Wenger players see their very best under him.

> Cole became arguably the best LB in the world at Chelsea.
> Van Bronckhorst left after 2 full seasons under Wenger, unable to secure a starting spot. Went on to feature 150 + times for Barcelona.
> Slyvinho featured 72 times for Arsenal but was unable to displace Ashley Cole. Returned to Spain to excel and earn a move to Barcelona.
> Upson left after over 50 games under Wenger. Went on to become West Ham captain and make 21 England appearances.
> Anelka left Arsenal to join Madrid after an excellent season. Went on to discover his best form across spells at City, Bolton and Chelsea.
> Carlos Vela left after more than 50 games under Wenger. Went on to score 66 La Liga goals and won player of the month several times in La Liga.
> Gervinho left Arsenal after 63 games, unable to recapture his form from Lille, went on to star in his first season at Roma with 9 goals and 12 assists.
> Gabriel left after over 50 games, failing to establish himself as a starter. Since become a regular starter for Valencia.
