Yes because articles published by The Sun are more reputable regarding Italian football transfers than the most reputable newspaper in Italy. However, they are not expected to explore that possibility due to the fact they see Brazilian Alisson as being their No1.
Another howler by The Sun; Since Alisson's arrival Szczesny has been the undisputed no. 1 and made over 39 appearances in a single season, whereas Allison has spent over 3420 minutes warming the bench. 38 games in which he wasn't favored to Szczesny to be precise.

Szczesny is homegrown in England like Pickford but Everton decided to spend £30m on pickford than buying Szczesny for peanuts.
You said there was no interest in Szczesny from Napoli's end which is factually not true.
De Laurentiis publicly expressed the club's interest in Szczesny on multiple occasions, but Napoli lost out on his as soon as Juventus joined the race.
Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny wants to extend his stay at Roma, the president of the Serie A side James Pallotta has said.
"He told me that he wanted to stay with us," Pallotta told radio station SiriusXM. "I'll say more, I was surprised by the fact some of the players I thought had wanted to leave came up to me before and after the final game to say they wanted to remain.

both Napoli and Rome has never showed serious interest in him. If there were some serious interest, he'd be playing for them rather than sitting on Juventus bench.

So have I considering there's several fellow countrymen who play for Roma.
The now retired De Arthritis had just turned 86 and was showing signs of decline. Lobont and Skorupski the were considered as unreliable and error prone and Roma were in dire need of another keeper and Allison was aqcuired. Little did they know Szczesny would have a fantastic 2016-17 season after a 2015-16 season in which he had his ups and downs.
Fact of the matter remains, Allison was heavily out of favor and had to make do with the odd Coppa Italia appearance whereas Szczesny was the undisputed no.1 and and was considered by many as the best performing keeper in Italy.
If they were so certain about Alisson being an upgrade, Szczesny would have been dropped at some point during the season.

Sky Sports News HQ understands Juventus have agreed a deal in principle to sign Szczesny for €16m (around £14m) from Arsenal, but Pallotta says the Poland international shot-stopper wants to stay in Rome.
"He told me that he wanted to stay with us," Pallotta told radio station SiriusXM. "I'll say more, I was surprised by the fact some of the players I thought had wanted to leave came up to me before and after the final game to say they wanted to remain.

Considering hes now on juves bench and Alisson is number one at Roma, Sun was right. They bedded him in and now he's ready they've dumped Szczesny. He wanted to stay. They had no interest
