You hear people banging on about making women football even - yet the final kicked off at 5 PM, all through this tournament we have had evening games and for the final, the biggest game of them all it's a 5 PM... madness.
Sadly any of the games I have watched on the BBC I have had to have the sound off, the woman who commentates has a dreadful voice and it goes right through my head, she doesn't appear to be very intelligent because the only time I ever did listen to her (I think it was one of the qualifiers back in December) she was waxing lyrical about how great a touch a clear miss-kick was - no woman would want someone to be praising up her miss-kick as if it was a touch of class, women aren't like guys in that respect. (just a thought this commentators name is possibly Vicky Spark)
Now on to a happy note, well done to the England women, I know a lot is often said about the first touch in women's football and maybe it isn't as good as men's, but men have huge wages, extensive coaching and were probably more involved from an earlier age than the women, though with that said the effort shown by the women footballers puts many male footballers to shame, they don't seem to mope around and look uninterested, they don't play act anywhere near as much as the guys - in terms of entertainment it's good, honest football, I like it.
I posted on here a while ago that all women's teams should play at the same stadium as the men's teams, they shouldn't be playing in non league stadiums etc, when it's the euros and the world is watching us - we let them play in the big stadiums, yet for the regular women's premier league - this isn't the case.
How can things ever be equal if Xchester ladies don't play in the same stadium as Xchester men, if the people at the Football Association are serious about equalling up then they should be addressing that.
