I think it's his poor grammar. It would have been much clearer if he had said "I never asked anyone to come back". Then it would have been clear he hadn't asked anybody at the club if he could come back.

He scored the goal, then dived to get Shawcross sent off. The whole placed erupted, fairly viciously against the boy and he started making mistakes and making a t**t of himself. Geoff Cameron left one in on him and he went bezerk, started squaring up and going ballistic and was subbed about 30 seconds later.

Didn't even make the bench this season I wonder why. Was nice to get 3 over them though.
