Spain have by far the more talented team over all, but I have a feeling Russia are on a roll, plus they are going to be determined to repay the thumping Spain gave them in the group game.

Xavi did nothing against Italy (although to be fair Italy were terribly negative) and when Cesc came on he controlled the midfield, unfortunately we all know Aragonis is going to start Cesc on the bench once again, and because of that I have a feeling by the time he does get on it will be too late and Russia will win this.

I want Spain to win this one, with goals by Cesc, Cesc and Cesc.

But I want Germany to win the final

If Aragones has a brain in that fuckin head of his he will start Cesc.
The lad is on terrific form of late and he would be insane not to start 'im...

After their enterprising display in the opener Spain have slowed their midfield play to the point where Italy happily sat with eight men behind the ball patiently watching the short passing that was neat but desperately lacking in penetration.

Only when Fabregas comes on, usually after an hour, does there seem to be any zest and their coach Luis Aragones knows they have to find new ways to threaten if they are to progress.
'It will be difficult to surprise Hiddink, but we will try,' he said.

I still don't see the fuss over Cesc not playing. Xavi and Iniesta know each other inside out and are possibly two of the best at what they do. I wouldn't wanna break that partnership up either and I love Cesc as if he is my child!

Because in every game he's played in in the Euros he has completely changed the Spanish team, and made them much more of an attacking threat mate :sundae:

Fair point, i think the majority of their goals have happened when he is on the pitch.
