And so the game ends.... 1-0, still unbeaten at home this season.

Now for the lap of honour, which I doubt they will screen.

He is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better at LW than at LB.
I've been saying this for a few weeks now.

Damn that Wenger and his insistence on playing people out of position.
We could've been using Traore all this time instead of Eboue!

Armand was outstanding for the 20mins or so he was on the pitch, plus he got an assist to his name, excellent cross into the box which Bendtner was on the end of to head it in, cracking goal, Traore also made a blinding run up the pitch but no-one to back him up, thought Theo would have been on the other side of that run!

Another flat game IMO with nothing left to play for other than pride as its impossible for us to drop lower than 3rd, but at the same time good to see some of the fringe players get a run out.

Also like to mention Jens here, was quite moving when he came out after the game to a big round of applause as did when he subbed Fabianski, he looked very reminiscent & somewhat sad with a smile, as if to say ok guys this is me saying goodbye, liked the way in which he bowed down to the Arsenal Faithful.

Yeah, I'll miss the crazy bugger, I still remember those saves against Madrid and Villareal....

I don't think so.

Almunia has barely put a foot wrong all season, he's been solid

I have to kind of agree with ab fab here Jens is better than Almunia there should be no doubt about that but at the same time Jens lost it and even when he had it there was mistakes.

Almunia is a good keeper but not a top four keeper Van der sar, Renia and chech are miles ahead of him. But all this said there was no way it would have been possible to keep jens too many bridges have been burnt.

You may be right on balance, but realistically, how much longer does Jens have at the top level?

How old is he now?

Nobody wanted to see the back of David Seaman, but time is a cruel bitch and will steal everyone's best years :sundae:

Yeah Lehmann is about 38 now or something.
After Arsenal he's seriously considering retirement.
He was a great 'keeper but we can't keep him forever. I just hope we replace him with a world class keeper.

Thats the key line for me i just don't see Almunia has a first choice keeper i know some of you will point to him having a solid season but you don't know how a better keeper might have changed things.
