A few things must be achieved for this match :
1) we must get a GOOD result against this Boro team to put our title challenge back on track
2) a GOOD result will send a strong signal to the fans and opponents that we are going to fight tooth and nails for the title
3) we must give Boro a GOOD stuffing for ending our unbeaten record at Riverside earlier this season. I hope i get to say revenge taste so sweet :D

After the runout Arsene has given RVP i hope he gets more match time as he has obviously looked a wee bit rusty but signs are good.
Hope to see Toure and Rosicky back and better still if Theo's available as well.
This will allow Cesc to return to his favoured centre midfield role and wreck more havoc.

Come on you Gunners! :1: :1:

Agree, it could be a potential banan skin, and for that reason we can't approach this game with any sort of complacency or anything. Attack straight from the kick-off, and put the win beyond doubt in the first half, preferably in the first 20 minutes.

Arsene's said that Rosicky and Diaby is out still, and Theo's facing a fitness test ahead of the game. That pretty much leaves us with the same team with the game against Wigan. :(

I suppose that any home match against one of the "lesser" teams is potentially a banana skin but I think that we will do well this weekend. I'm looking forward to a victory and a very good performance.

I don't see this as being an easy game for us whatsoever.

I'm thinking a hard fought 2-0 win to the good guys though.

Wenger's said that Toure and RVP is match fit, and has dropped a hint that he might start RVP :9:
Suddenly i'm feeling alot more optimistic against Boro...

Hopefully rvp is hungry for goals as he hasn't played for so long and Ade might get a better game withrvp than with Bendter but at least arsne has got cover up front. if anyone is going get behind the team from the start then the pressure will be on but i can see us beating the boro

Hello guys. Just joined. Would like to put in my bit.
Another "must win" match for us, I'm actually beginning to loath the phrase as it continues to be attached to every game we play. BUT the reality of it, is that all games from now till the end of the premiership are "must wins" for Arsenal.

In the premiership we are having a "bad spell", "poor run of form", a "slump" what ever is labelled to our recent showing doesn't really matter - we simply just haven't won recently. Whatever its down to, I hope that this weekend it will end, and that we get back to our winning ways.

How we do it, whether its by utterly destroying middlesborough in a goalfest or a last minute OG by their goalkeeper , I really don't care. of course, the former is the preferred outcome.

With battle cries from Flamini and Wenger that echo around the news for "concentration" and "will" from the squad to be displayed in the run in for the title race I hope a much needed win will be produced.

---------------Almunia

Sagna--Gallas--Senderos--Clichy

Eboue--Fabregas--Flamini--Hleb

----RVP/Walcott/Big Dane--Adebayor

Senderos stays as he deserves it but if anyone is tired in the backline then Toure can replace them for this one. Eboue will allow Cesc back inside and strength the right (Willie, not everyone agrees with you and no, I haven't been smoking anything) and the midfield on the whole. Striker depends on whose fit with Big Dane being last choice due to how similar he seems with Ade.

Boro will play well as this is a big team as I said before, we have to get three points but most teams up to perhaps Man City will be easier then this lot. Young is a solid fullback, Wheater and Huth are strong in the air though Wheater has a decent shot if he gets in the box as well as a strong set piece threat and think Ade won't get much joy trying to out leap those two. Arca and Rochemback have been playing well, Downing is a decent winger, Boateng is quite capable of kicking our players, heard Shawkey has impressed. Ali and Tuncay tore us apart last time while Mido is a good targetman and it just be our luck if Alves suddenly found his feet in the English game. Must be careful with this side.

Huth and Wheater are both very strong, so Bendtner and Adebayor are a must, give van Persie 35 minutes or something so he's fit enough for Chelsea next week. He'll probably get a start, but unlikely. Aliadiere is back aswell so Toure needs to play, his pace will rip Senderos to shreads.
