When the draw was made, I rally didn;t think it was that important for us to win this semi, as we had bigger fish to fry, unlike them Sp*ds, however seeing how close they came to winning at the Emirates, and the way their fans were getting ready to celebrate, I thought, right, we're gonna have to go to sh*te fart pain and tonk them in front of their own fans, put them in their place. :rolf23:

It's a dump there! We don't nickname it "The Swamp" without reason!

It wasn't a bad away ground back in the days of terraces, we just took it over. Since the seats, it's a poxy pitch view, and all crammed into a corner with a great view of the main stand.

Still, it's unlikely that they will sell all their tickets, and the touts know it's like flogging a dead horse, so people without tickets will probably be alright.

Please note, that I do NOT recommend purchasing tickets from touts outside the ground, buy them from the official sources

I we use the CC to blood our squad players but I think we should play a few of our first team for this game. We are one game from the final and Spuds have the advantage from the first leg, and we'd never hear the end of it down if they knocked us out and went on to win it.

The away section is sold out and has been for a week or two, the only way you might (not 100% though) is to go up tomorrow night and see if you can get one outside the Arsenal pubs before they head of to the Swamp.

An early guess as to what the team might be

- Fabianski -
- Hoyte - Senderos - Gallas - Traore -
- Walcott - Denilson - Diaby - Rosicky -
- Eduardo - Bendtner -

Subs:
Mannone,
Gilberto,
Randall,
Hleb,
Adebayor.

Wenger - I may use some first-team players at Tottenham

Arsène Wenger could be forced to draft in a couple of first-team players for Tuesday’s Carling Cup Semi-Final second leg at White Hart Lane.

The Arsenal manager has a policy of playing squad players in this competition. For example, in the first leg, Justin Hoyte was the only starter to retain his place from the previous Premiership game — and the former England Under-21 international has hardly been a regular in the top-flight this term.

Wenger is without five players at the moment — three of them centre back — and, as a result, he may employ some experience.

“The players who were on the bench at Fulham will play,” he said. “But I will have to play one or two who played on Saturday because we are short in numbers.”

One reporter asked if William Gallas would be one of that duo.

“I will see,” replied the Arsenal manager. “Come to the game on Tuesday!”

Gallas drafted in for Tottenham tie as injuries bite

Injuries have forced Arsène Wenger to call on William Gallas for the Carling Cup Semi-Final second leg at Tottenham on Tuesday night.

Arsenal are without four centre backs for the short trip across North London. Kolo Toure and Alex Song are on duty at the African Nations Cup while Johan Djourou picked up a groin injury during the first leg at Emirates Stadium a fortnight ago.

The quartet is completed by Philippe Senderos who suffered a nasty blow to the nose during Saturday’s 3-0 win at Fulham. Even though Wenger has brought back his captain for a tie delicately poised at 1-1, Gallas’ partner will still be a makeshift centre back. Justin Hoyte and Gilberto are the players most likely to step in. Otherwise the manager will employ the usual squad members supplemented with a few more first-team players.

“We lost Philippe Senderos at Fulham and the injuries before that game are the same,” said Wenger on Monday afternoon.

“I will rotate the squad which means those that didn’t play on Saturday will play at Tottenham and after that I will complete it with first-team players. I will use William Gallas because I have no choice but Fabianski will play, Hoyte will play and the players that didn’t play against Fulham will all play. Walcott will feature as well.”

I wouldn't mind seeing Justin Hoyte play along side Gallas, i thought he did a fantastic job in the first leg.

With Senderos being out i think we will see Sagna either starting at right-back on on the bench.

I really don't want Gallas to play, what if he gets injured, considering its not a game we really need to win THAT much (ok maybe a little), and his absence could affect us in more imprtant games.
