Arsene Wenger does not expect to have his injured players back for Sunday's trip to Middlesbrough.

Mathieu Flamini (thigh), Alex Hleb (hamstring), Cesc Fabregas (hamstring) and Robin van Persie (knee) all missed the 1-1 draw at Newcastle on Wednesday night and none of that quartet are likely to be involved when Arsenal return to the North East.

"No Fabregas, no Hleb, no Van Persie, no Flamini will be back for the weekend," said Wenger in his post-match press conference at St. James' Park.

To say Boro are shite would be an insult to bodily functions, so if we come away with anything less than 3 points will be a disaster imo.

Once again we somehow need to defeat a side without our main attacking players. I think Rosicky must be played in the wings, and Dudu should be put up front.

Im guessing the team will be the same as Newcastle as no one is back from injury and there was no new injury's *fingers crossed*

I would play Rosicky behind Ade and Eduardo on the left... ;)

dudu is wasted on the left, his main attributes is his finishing, hes not goin utilise them from there

id rather player theo on the left, if dudu is not going to play up top

bendtner has got to come into the equation as well, i think he deserves to be given a start, even he plays alongside ade

I agree Ab-Fab, i'd like to see them play up front together.
I don't think their styles are that similar, that it wouldn't work.

This could be very interesting, if we score early like we did against Newcastle i can see the game panning out pretty much the same as i cant see Wenger changing the team too much. If he puts Eduardo on the left again he should be shot Rosicky/Walcott can do a much better job.

My team would be:
Almunia
Sagna Toure Gallas Clichy
Eboue Diarra Denilson Rosicky
Bendtner Adebayor

Lehmann
Song
Gilberto
Walcott
Dudu

Walcott should be on around 60/70 mins depending on the score and if Bendtner/Ade partnership does not work Dudu can be subbed on. Im still not convinced about Eboue but he did play a magical ball to set up Ade and his partnership with Sagna is getting better

I am not looking forward to this game at all.

It is a must win game no two ways about it. Man U are 1 point behind us, IF we loose this one we have a one point lead and face Chelsea next in the Prem.

Come on Arsenal, we must do this!! :flag:

I wanted to wait until after today's results to comment on the match and the results have confirmed this is a must 3 points. Chelsea and United both won as expected and suprisingly Liverpool slipped up. We now need to regain our 4 point lead at the top and go a further 3 points ahead of Liverpool. Boro have had a poor season and the only player I feared in their line up was Mido and he is out injured. Obviously there is the threat of Aliadiere coming back to haunt us, but with captain fantastic and King Kolo at the back we shouldn't concede a goal tomorrow.

Injuries are still having a large affect on our team and Hleb, Cesc, Robin, Diaby and Flamini are all still out injured. So again the attacking threat will need to come from Ade and Rosciky. After the performance against Newcastle I expect Wenger to drop Eduardo and Gilberto and go with a more offensive line up. Putting Denilson in midfield for added creativity and Bendtner or Walcott up front alongside Ade. I'll go with this:

Almunia

Sagna Toure Gallas Clichy

Eboue Denilson Diarra Rosicky

Ade Walcott

I can't remember the last time I predicted the right team and not many of us seem to. Wenger is constantly changing the team and the fans opinions on the team often seems to differ to his. I think that team should have more than enough to beat Boro. Diarra will provide the steel in midfield if Boro want to battle. Rosicky and Denilson should provide the attacking flair with Ade and Walcott the main goal threat. The defence should have learnt something from the Newcastle game and Gallas will hopefully make sure if we are a goal up under pressure there is no fooling around with the ball, just hit the f***ing thing into row Z.

I don't think Boro will be pushovers, but I do expect us to win and I'm going for 2-0 Walcott and Ade :D

dont worry trina, i can personally guarantee we will win :flag:

I know chelsea won, but they didn't play too well, and with dogboy out, that'll give us a little better of a chance.
