1-1 then. Two off the post, and in all fairness, a game we should really have won. Unlucky in places, robbed in others (Jamie Carragher in particular), at least one red card decision going against us, and we still get a point.

On the bright side, we didn't lose, and that's one of the sterner tests out of the way. Brighter still, Middlesex lost, so I can bring my new toy out again, "Mind The Gap"

A lot can be taken from that game, however we have the reigning champions next....

I'm happy with point from Anfield (well done Fabregas) even though we were very close to getting a late winner (but in all fairness Liverpool were close on a couple of occasions to get a second goal) and a what I think was clear Arsenal was not called. It's was an enjoyable game and I think we played well, we can use this game to prepare for next week looking at both the positives and the negatives of our game. I personally think it was the fair score and hopefully we can keep our position in the table (even though we are playing the team challenging us for the top spot at the moment next week, Sir (should I call him 'sir'. Ha) Alex Furguson was at Anfield watching the game. He's no stranger to late Arsenal goals.)

Come on Arsenal. :flag: :D

Well, a point is not too bad. We're level with the Mancs now, with a game in hand. A win next week, and a very tough phase will be over. Heck, even a point next week might do us good.

Oh well, time will tell.

We badly lacked van Persie's class up front today. Walcott did inject a bit of that, though.

We really looked like the home team in the first half, Andy Gray couldn't stop singing our praises for 45 minutes! Unfortunately, we conceded a stupid goal.

Most of the attacking players had some poor moments, often misjudging those split second decisions and playing a pass too weak or to the wrong player. Trying to get through a tightly set up side, Liverpool at Anfield, no less, by using one touch football was going to prove difficult, and so it did.

But the composure shown by Hleb right at the end, to hold back the pass to Ade, then Bentner, who were both offside, and slide it into the path of Cesc, was phenomenal. And I don't know how deliberate the toe poke from Fabregas was, but the kid's on a roll, so we'll toast to another wonderful goal from him.

C'mon Arsenal, do in the Champions at home!
