Hleb takes one to the nethers, and Sunderland are down to 10 men for injury time.

A flurry of late chances, including Theo hitting the post, but Arsenal win 3-2, and regain top spot, still with a game in hand.....

Phew that was hard stuff although i think that was good for the team. I don't think we would have won this one last year but this year we are winning the tough ones, this game is another example.

Well done to Walcott for having such a positive effect on the game and i thought Hleb was outstanding today. Great stuff from RVP  he has not really hit the higher gears this year yet but it looks like he has some clear road ahead of him and is ready to let loose :arsenal:

Yeah, Walcott was brilliant today. He made such a positive impact on the game.

Why the heck was Clichy marking that giant? Two serious tactical goof ups nearly cost us the points.

For me, there are a lot of positives to take out of that game. Firstly, last year we would have lost that game. This time, we looked for the winner, and although they were taking the game, we never gave up, and mostly looked like scoring, especially late on. Secondly, three goals, two back off the post, and two ruled out. It could have been a cricket score in reality, despite all the nail-biting at 2-2. Thirdly, Theo changing the game again, his injection of pace, productivity and ideas were the key, and he was at the heart of everything after he came on.

All in all, a fair three points, we are back to the top of the table, and march onwards. Just about a two week break for the Internationals, and next up, Bolton who are out of sorts right now. Plenty of time to have a look at today, learn from it, and get stronger from it.

We desperately need a goal!

That would have been an absolute gem of a goal had it gone in, CG had no chance, it didnt half ricochette off the post!
Kolo was sooo unlucky.

Still Sunderland gave us a game, I was suprised at how gracious Keane was in defeat but they can take alot from todays match, its not easy to come to Arsenal & score 1 let alone 2 atm,....but class shone through in the end.......job done.
Back to the top, 2 pts clear of the mancs again, the scouse drew 2-2 with the yids, so that widens the gap between us & them even more as they the only other current top 4 side with a game in hand, on same games played as us (8).
