Joao Virginia looks promising. I've just read his profile on Arse.com. impressive stuff for a 19 year old.... he's clearly rated very highly by the Portugal national team

Yes mate
He has been playing at all levels for the last 3 years
In fact he is not 19 till October
I was surprised that willock nketiah and Nelson are not included in the England squad having all been involved in qualification and still eligible age wise
I know guendouzi was initially named in the French squad but we put the block on it as we wanted him involved in pre season
Perhaps the same applied for the English lads ?

Hmmm..

It seems a shame to withdraw them if that's what happened. They're not really needed at the club right now after all

Unless Emery wanted to have an opportunity to assess them, having just started

Going by his interviews João certainly doesn't look like someone who lacks confidence.

Some might call him cocky, but as long as his cockiness doesn't turn into complacency, it's a great trait for a goalkeeper to have.

No room for doubt or hesitation in the most unforgiving position in football.
