Talented youngster Omari Hutchinson has confirmed that he will be part of Arsenal’s scholarship intake for next season.
Hutchinson, who can play as a winger or an attacking midfielder, was hugely impressive for Arsenal U16s last season.
The prospect first shot to prominence with his skill videos when he was an U12 player.
Hutchinson has been allocated the number 86 shirt for next season and forms part of an exciting scholarship intake that also includes Charlie Patino, with the midfielder already a key part of the U18 team.
Striker Khayon Edwards and defender Taylor Foran have also confirmed that they will sign scholarship terms, as has Mexican midfielder Marcelo Flores.
Goalkeeper Remy Mitchell and defender Zane Monlouis should also be part of the intake along with midfielder Mauro Bandeira and forward Billy Vigar.
Right-back Brooke Norton-Cuffy is set to be part of the group, as is left-back Henry Jeffcott. It is yet to be confirmed whether Luigi Gaspar, the son of the club’s technical director Edu, will remain at Arsenal.
Charles Sagoe Jr and James Sweet have also been under consideration for scholarships, while goalkeeper Pedro Virginia left the club to join Porto.
The youngsters have yet to start full time training at London Colney, but some of them have been in attendance at Hale End. It is anticipated that the academy season could get underway in September.
