This is just so funny.

But but Saliba isn't good enough for us cos he plays in a shit league.

Different player from a worse league comes in and does well

Your logic is destroyed and the denying you said it is hilarious.

Not a good weekend for our jay.

That's the right thing to say. I hope he does well tonight because Salah and Trent will be his biggest test so far.

Hopefully a good lesson for him today - you can't dribble out from the back in every situation.
Once he made that first mistake he panicked and made more.
Showed some excellent stuff since he came in, but needs to focus on the basics too.

Feel a bit sorry for him today as prior to that mistake he was actually holding up pretty well considering he was up against Salah, time Is on his side and he seems like the type of character that will learn from it and push on.

It was more about his passing, wasn't it?

Nuno was at fault for 2.5 of those goals yesterday.

One was the 2nd goal his pass back that went to the Liverpool player Jota.

Third goal was that he was supposed to be manning Salah but then decided to leave him completely to run across to the other side of the box to challenge Mane who was already being challenged leaving Salah completely unmarked.

The half fault was from the 4th goal because again, the cross / final ball came from his left side but I only make that a half fault.

The second and third goal are unforgivable, yes I feel sorry for Nuno, I don't think his defensive prowess is up to the standard to mark Liverpool players, its a rough task and hopefully he'll improve, but if he marks Salah for the third goal instead of leaving him then Salah never gets a free shot on goal, that's the one that annoys me the most, a good defender knows to cut off as many options and angles as he can, Mane was not the threat in that situation, he can cross all he wants but if you've cut off the man he wants to cross to then there is no goal.

Trouble is, he did OK against lesser opposition and it could be argued that he deserved to keep his place, however, if Tierney was fit, maybe his experience should have got him in the team. You have to play to the opposition and pick your team accordingly..

He needs more experience. I think he coped well against Salah physically and technically. I mean it was not that he got bullied or skinned inside out and left for dead like what we used to see from our previous left back. Chambers vs Montero or Bellerin vs Alonzo are some that I remember.
His mistakes were mostly tactical mistakes, like giving the ball away or not marking a player without the ball.

Bar the shooting, played pretty well today. Good comeback performance after last weekend’s torrid time at Anfield. Just stop blazing the ball over the bar into row Z please. Looking like a win for ACH in the Left back debate this season so far tbf.

Very confident on the ball, weaved past defenders with ease. I'm much happier with his passing than I was w/ Tierney.

Interesting dude. His shooting was gash and frustrating in possession. But he has some engine on him. Wore down Newcastle single-handedly.
