Also Gabriel Magalhaes has been shaky for quite sometime, including today.

Done very well this season, he’s been a very good signing, better than I thought. Fully deserved.

15/16 Cech was a top player, shame Giroud was crap and Wenger didn’t want to sign another cf, we should have walked the title that season

Ramsdale was immense first half of the season.

I thought he was average to poor for much of the second half

Mental how we were seemingly more solid at the back in Wengers poor years. It seemed like we couldn't hold a lead. Stats would suggest we were better at everything than we are now! I miss Wengerball

Think it's the case that we were much better at ball retention and attacking generally. If we got a lead and especially a convincing one we could retain possession, the other team 'gave up' and therefore clean sheets. However, we couldn't defend and this was exposed against better teams with multiple high scoring goals against and then even in tighter games we were more susceptible to goals.

I do think we have good defenders at the club now, with maybe left back needing a good cover as much as I love Tierney. But we need to sort out going forward so that there is less pressure on the defence.

Personnel wise, I would say we have the 3rd best defence after Liverpool and City, but the amount of pressure that was put on them by poor forward play contirbuted to the high goals against this season

Attack is often the best defense! Teams don't like committing too much going forward if they think they will concede when they do.
Under Wenger, they knew we were potent and could score against anyone.
Under Arteta, they know we don't have much going forward, so we have to be hard to breakdown.

In essence, we play like a mid table team!
