That's why questions were asked

Just cos he's doing well now doesn't change the fact he was shit previously lol

And every Arsenal fan is glad he's doing well. Glad for the club. Can't say the same for others unfortunately. Glad he's doing well to score points and agendas zzzzzz

C'mon it wasn't him that was shit it was the whole team in both clubs, he had some crazy save counts at those clubs.

Some of us said he could quickly be Number 1 and didn't assume the club were run by idiots - and in all honesty the deal itself should have made it clear that Leno's days were numbered , even if you'd missed the fact that he was a mistake ridden liability the season before.

If Leno's days were numbered as you say why sell the better keeper (Martinez) in the first place ?! Who made and sanctioned that decision ?! None other than Chequebook Charlie Arteta himself LOL.

Its not "embarrass" most of them were warranted questions and more confusion at the time, no one thought he was going to replace Leno, that was the main issue.

£30m for a back up keeper was what was derided, what we know now is he's replaced Leno, so spending £30m on a first choice keeper isn't such a problem.

But I admit, he's performing above and beyond even what I thought he was capable of.

He's been the best buy of the summer transfers, we're lucky to have him.

They were not warranted questions at all.
It was a ridiculous reaction based on zero knowledge of the player because some people wanted to slag off the club and manager.
It would be nice if it led to a new realisation that as fans we know almost f**k all about the fit and potential of players in a squad, but I fear not. We will continue to get the rubbish spouted about players as if we have a forum full of coaches and scouts.

Jay, the thoughts of someone who was "meh" about signing Ramsdale, because Leno was a decent keeper and spending £32m on a keeper who was not better than Martinez who we sold for £20m, I thought the purchase made no sense. I like most assumed Ramsdale would be a backup keeper, the money spent was absurd. Now, nobody knew Leno would make mistakes and get dropped and nobody knew Ramsdale would come in and be so fantastic. Anyone suggesting they knew Ramsdale would come in and out perform Leno so absolutely is lying blatantly.

I was neither for the purchase or against it, but the money spent made no sense. As usual you have to weed out the extreme views for and against Ramsdale, I think my opinion is pretty much what most Arsenal fans thought of the purchase at the time.

It's ridiculous. Trying to score points to suit his agenda rather than being happy a keeper who wasn't very good when we first got him has been excellent

Has the denial happened yet?

There is no over reaction - you were even cheering on people slagging him off on social media before he even played for us. Quite apart from not knowing anything about him and proclaiming him to be shit.

Regardless, I think we can all be happy Leno has been dumped. Ramsdale is much better.

That'll really hurt him.

I bet he looked up at that Leno poster on his wall when he read that.

Leno man love.

That is such an odd comment. Come on Phil, you're better than that.
