Fair enough, he'd have been a squad player here and probably saw how Sambi was struggling for games.

Agreed (with the loan idea), I saw enough last season to tell me he is too raw and needs more experience, somewhere else in the Prem would be great.

Arsenal midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga, 22, is on Jose Mourinho's midfield shortlist at AS Roma as he looks to replace the injured Gini Wijnaldum. (AS Roma Live, via Express)

We should get another midfielder first.

We should be loaning him to a club we could potentially sell him on to. Roma isn't it, and frankly Mou didn't do much for AMN. I can see this going the same way. Wijnaldum is a starter and potential captain, no way is ASL going to be replacing his role.

I think Lokonga looks crap ....... not much more to it.

He may get good in a few years but ffs, he's not a teenager, seems like a waste of money.

Yup, but honestly looks absolutely pants  , a pubber signing so far .get Tielemans I'd like too see Lokonga to go out on loan, Jose Mourinho Roma with Wijnaldum being out for a while. I hearing he want him tbf ... would be good for his development to go to Roma are more full season of games and getting better defensively and positioning wise would help him and us massively in the long term tbf.

Loan him to ligue 1. I'm certain he'd look so much better there!

Time to take the opportunity and show he's good enough tonight.

Steady game needed. Doesn’t need to try too much. Hopefully the Arsenal fans will be right behind him. Think they will be… and I hope he doesn’t read GW,lol.

If reading GW affects him then he's at the wrong club.

Anyway I hope he has a worldie tonight, we need a good showing and a win.

Context.

Let's hope he's right. Still, I feel Sambi is more compatible with Partey than he is with Xhaka. Neither Sambi, nor Xhaka are comfortable as a 6.

Lokonga also isn't helped by the fact that once one or two players get injured, he suddenly has to be ready having played little football. Yes, this has also applies to Elneny, but he's not at the same developmental stage in his career—and he's notably more experienced, so it's less of an issue for him.

Was worried about him but played it neat and simple. Good job.
