As he gains experience, I think a double pivot of Thomas and Lokonga would be pretty good. He already looks the part. Just hope he can fulfil his potential.

Good times ahead if we can get him and Partey to click. Midfields at other clubs are in worries if they do !!!

Not creative enough.

Partey released to play his natural game is creative plus - we have Odegaard AND ESR. Our options should provide plenty of creativity.

He doesn't look ready for this level.

Wasn't awful but didn't make much impact going forward and obviously made a mistake for the second goal. Had enough decent games so far not to worry, the bigger concern was Arteta and Edu thinking he was enough to fix our midfield.

Not going to be too harsh on the guy because he’s young, but clearly not ready for the PL, he’s one for the future really.

Its he is young dont sit with me, it's a young mans game, adapt or die mentality is what's missing at the club
Aw fancying about with players feeling for 15 years has left us with this mentality

Needs to impose himself and be braver. He's young but not the youngest player to ever play for us as CM. From Cesc to Wilshere and even Guendouzi, they had more about them when playing and they were much younger.

Unfortunately for him he’s a first teamer now and will be judged like one.

Truth be told our midfield needed some genuine quality adding to it, that was our biggest problem area.

Instead of signing someone like Bissouma and maybe Aouar we went for White and Odegaard.

So far it’s proving a terrible decision, we didn’t need a CB we had two decent ones on loan we should have brought in.

Not in that game.
The midfield was poorly set up and was being completely overrun.
He did ok, actually looked more composed than Partey - then got caught in possession by being crowded out. Was happening all game long.

Up until his mistake he looked very good. Lost awareness for a split second, I cant be mad at him for that, wasn't like he was dilly dallying on the ball, unfortunate mistake that got punished in the worst way.

Sky is the limit for this kid.
He glides and is strong.
He's young and new to the PL so he'll have his ups and downs and he has a couple of areas to work on - shooting and a little on timing when to release the pass - but man does he have a bright future.

Send him to Marseille on a loan. They’ll fix him up.
