Consistency in league form is the measure of team robustness and quality.

But I notice you have not mentioned WINNING something.

Those Wigan, Birmingham and Portsmouth cup wins were all important for those clubs, its created a history that can never be taken away. They are not traditional Top tier clubs - clubs expected to stay in the top flight, so for them to win a major trophy while they were there is a fairytale - they are not supposed to win anything !!

Arsenal are supposed to win things and we aren't, staying in the Prem is NOT our objective, staying in the top 4 is not our objective. Winning things is our objective. Nobody gives a f**k about consistency but winning nothing.

Found his level, mid table also rans.
Thanks, need to look elsewhere.

Finished 8th 2 years running? Oh wait, that was Arteta.

New Arteta has signed a third of Pep's 100pt City squad, CL winners from Chelsea, broken the British transfer record.....and still has to make desperate £80m bids to try to poach Emery players like Watkins.

Give Arteta a squad with McGinn, Rogers, Bailey and Ramsey and he'd be a Championship manager forever.

Thats about his level ;) He has had the time and the money and still won FA

Winning things comes from consistency.
Top tier teams end up winning mostly, like ManU, Liverpool and ARSENAL!
We are within touching distance and will start winning anytime. Once we start, it'll come in bunches, not just One in a lifetime!

Wenger had to go, and he signed his own managerial death warrant by only signing Petr Cech and letting Leicester win the league.

Robbie and AFTV have exposed themselves as slimy anyhow, and represent how most Gooners in real life actually are. Most are like Ty and Julien, and that's why AFTV in part now is popular because they remind people of their actual Arsenal friends and family.

We have been the most consistent club across the last 3 seasons and won naff all bro !! This is about having a lack of killer instinct, its about not winning games when it matters. You are harping on about consistency like you harp on about Arteta's win rate. A win rate that has yielded nothing!

Man U beat incumbents City in the FA Cup, while finishing midtable.

Newcastle beat incumbents Liverpool in the League Cup, while currently in midtable.

Statistically we have a better shot of winning something with Arteta in midtable than "challenging" with a 12 point deficit.

Pretty sure most of us Arteta Outs would agree with them. I do.

Yes, he has done well to get this far. But then he has to START WINNING. we're MORE than just being runners-up.
As for entitled.....we're the third most successful and biggest club in England. Liverpool only is bigger by virtue of winning more trophies than us, as our fanbases domestically and globally are broadly equal. Only Man U and Liveprool have won more leagues than we have in England.
We SHOULD have high standards. It's like saying Atletico Madrid, AC Milan, or Schalke, shouldn't have high standards, as the third-biggest clubs in their respective countries.

And frankly, how dare fans say that us wanting to win and at the least compete is "entitled". We've won thirteen leagues. As said, only Man U and Liveprool have won more in our country. f**k "entitlement".

We've won a trophy in 27 years of our c.150year history.
It's unusual for us to win a trophy and if it's expected every year, it's unreasonable
Even under the Wenger years - we went 8 years without winning a trophy.

If you expect a trophy each year to the extent of throwing the toys out when it does not happen - the vast majority of the time - then it is absolutely entitlement.
