Our stadium is called the Emirates and our training ground the Sobha Realty Center. Where do you suppose they are from? We need Middle Eastern accountants, they're able to sell their dross for far more than us.

100% absolutely no excuse, even the footballing excuses we are hearing are absolute victim mentality never going to be a champion side while we look for blame elsewhere rather than looking internally for cause 1st and then solution and the solution can be both external and internal and preparation should always be for both.
Players imo the last 3 seasons have been exposed by lack of professionalism in the management systems 1stly

Don't understand why any positive comment for the club has to sneered as ' Loyalty '!
Some people are little optimistic that the club has been doing better than 4-5 yrs ago.
Challenging for trophies, have spend money ( there by shown some ambition) to bring in better players. True, they haven't succeeded in reaching the targets, but seems closer now than in the recent past. Unfortunate injuries and dubious officiating hasn't helped, but we're a match for all teams across leagues in Europe, which wasn't the case 4-5 yrs earlier.

challen ging for trophies pre=arteta is moot. 2019 was a disaster but it was our first European final in years. 2018 we lost to City in league cup final and reached EL semi. 2017, we beat Chelsea in FA Cup final. So our league form was crap but he had somewhat respectable cup form.

Cup form means nothing. Birmingham, Portsmouth, etc won Cups, League and FA ,and then got relegated. You get lucked out in a run and end up winning a trophy.
Consistency in league form is the measure of team robustness and quality.

Sounds like Arteta from what I see lucky to win a cup got rid of everyone that could win him one and can't win another

That fat fck Robbie Lyle and his band of AFTV degenerates hounded Wenger out of the club but now the same Robbie seems perfectly happy going 5 seasons with one lousy FA cup.

If he had the money that Arteta had thrown at him he would would have brought home the bacon that's for sure. ;)

Not winning the title, same as us.

In the CL QFs, same as us.

Only one of them has spent £882m in transfers though.

Made it to a European final, Arteta yet to do that, could make another yet, let's see how arteta and his compatriot do this year.
I don't want either but if Emery was seen as failure your a hypocrite if you think Arteta is a success

Finished 8th 2 years running? Oh wait, that was Arteta.

New Arteta has signed a third of Pep's 100pt City squad, CL winners from Chelsea, broken the British transfer record.....and still has to make desperate £80m bids to try to poach Emery players like Watkins.

Give Arteta a squad with McGinn, Rogers, Bailey and Ramsey and he'd be a Championship manager forever.
