Take Wenger as an example, started spending money and our football got worse!
So we don’t replace players like Leno, Laca and Bellerin who are leaving because we are sulking about Arteta? What happens if Arteta gets the sack a month after the window closes ?
Didn't say that though did I?
Of course players who are leaving will have to be replaced for numbers squad wise alone.
But what I'm saying is I'd rather we changed the root of the issue then gloss over it with another hype window where we buy another Pepe only to turn him into a shadow of himself and a sideways passing merchant.
.............. because that doesn't help us and doesn't solve the issue.
Also Arteta still being here means he's the one spending that money and picking players, who's he bought? Willian, Partey, Cedric, Mari?
Only good player there was Partey and again, look what we've done to him by making him play this system, we've made him toothless, how many Willians shall we waste our money on also?
I'm one of those that don't really believe Willian was waste of money.IF we we're shooting for top4 he was good addition with experience and proven in the PL on the cheap.Did he turn out well ofc not.I'm fairly positive it's hugely down to Arteta.Right now we're so far off top4 as squad that we don't really need aging players or players with experience etc. We just need young blood that can turn a new Arsenal.Partey was also one of those signings that made little sense in terms of what we need.50mil for a player that we need a partner for since we don't have midfield is just a bad decision all around. We need players on the cheap sub 20mil that we can develop from Championship etc and lower teams. We don't need players from Top teams that are rejects or that we have to overpay big time for them to come since we're not offering anything other than money for them.
