Think teams drop from Europa in to it after group stages

Missed out on a European trophy which Tottenham might win

Probably should win

Spurs can have it ! I think there would be more shame in winning it and bragging about it than not being in it. Like me standing outside a Primary School bullying the kids as they come out and giving it the bigun about being tougher than them.

Well that's not quite right as I'm sure the spuds will still find a way to bottle it

Villarreal are in Conference League as things stand, so Spurs won't be winning there either.

Although it would be the most Emery thing ever to beat Utd, go to CL group stage, finish 3rd and end up in Europa.

Yup

It'll hit hard when we watch everyone else playing Europe whilst we're stuck in 10th even with no Europe

You can get out your atlas and look up every backwater at the arse end of the former USSR.

Then thank God that its Tottenham going there and not us.

Exactly. I'd take the positives from not being in Europe but with Arteta in charge, it's not a positive. We'll still be in mid table and this time no Europe thus no kids to watch to excite us as they did this season.

It'll be the same crap game in and game out

We've hit rock bottom

We can take the piss all we want but obviously for any team you want to at least qualify even if it is a 3rd tier competition - Spuds will get to play the kids, try out formations, get players fit with easy matches in Europe, and they will make >20m in additional revenue ...

Sure our players get to stay home and watch TV whilst earning millions ... that's what we pay them for right?

but they wont. you can say 'play the kids' all you want but managers wont travel 600000 miles to some shithole to play the u23s. you think theyre gonna risk all that travelling by putting out u23s and end up losing? there'll be first team players in the team.

on top of that, managers will have to prepare for opponents which means distraction away from the training ground and PL games.

we on the other hand can focus on the PL and have week long rests, which means less fatigue and more work on the training ground.

its just a shame we have arteta in charge because if we had a half decent manager like allegri, zidane or rodgers id really be looking forward to the league next season.
