No Europe next season

Postby Ach » Thu May 06, 2021 9:28 pm

At the moment we're all either too pissed or laughing at Arteta kind of mood but it'll really sink in when European games come round next season and we aren't involved for the first time since the mid 90s.

We got bergkamp that started off a decade of success

We don't have that pull anymore.

Is this the end of us as a major club?

No problem with that.
We have the PL and FA Cup to play in - two biggest tournaments in the schedule.
Hopefully, we'll hear less BS about resting players too.

Well I was saying about the starting lineup that I f***ing hate this team now tbh. Big summer for the owners, either f**k off or make some big moves.

Sack Arteta

Sell:
Auba
Leno
Bellerín
Pepe
Xhaka

Build the team around:
Tierney
Martinelli
Saka

Spend a f***ing lot of money and get the shit out of here. I actually dislike half our players, they aren’t good enough and they’re useless c****.

End of the club If Project Backpass continues and Edu keeps lighting money on fire

If we can bring in even a B-grade manager like Benitez who will let us play oir normal game, we're easily back in Top 6.

Any chance of getting a stop gap manager for a year like we did with Rich then and then get a quality manager in?

Been against him for ages but Benitez for a year or so wouldn’t actually be bad with the position we’re in.

Might be a learning experience for Arteta - he knows for sure as he thinks about the season tonight that the players he has relied on are not good enough.
He has to take a blow torch to this team now. Not next season.
Drop players now and work on getting them out of the club.

The positive is that it will give us a chance to focus 100% on the league, less injuries and fatigue etc. We need some major investment on players but it may be a way to steady the ship and got us back where we need to be.
On the other hand we could be just as crap next year with less money and just keep spiralling, who knows with this club .

Amen.

Even the CL is a complete waste of time and energy for us right now.
I'd rather not be playing on Spursdays.

Its not about concentrating on the league, the Europa blooded all our youth and newbies in teh early stages.

For me its about the whole ethos of this club.

Swinging our nuts around about stuff a superior team and manager did 20 years ago but still thinking it applies?
Disrespecting opposition in superior positions to us is a cancer in attitude and is soft and creates soft players.

All in all, more than even a new owner, right now we need a proper custodian of the club, a manager.

Someone like what Tuchel is doing for Chelsea, what Pep has done for City, what Klopp has done for Liverpool, Rogers has done for Leicester.

Like it or not, these managers have given their teams an identity and a proper structure.

What's our identity? taking more back passes than a porn star behind on her mortgage, this team have gotten so used to passing around the defence that we've forgotten how to attack properly.

Its fkin digusting.

It's time to focus 100% on the league.
This will be good for us.
We have a big game at the weekend.
Let the rebuild start there and get 12pts from 12 left to win.

So what use is that if our approach and manager is still useless?

Great, we'll move up to 7th if we're lucky next season, we'll still be rotten.

This sort of football is not going to do anything for us moving forward.

............ also West Brom a big game, for what? a bag of Skips?

You've obviously resorted to trolling now.
