That was the best performance I have seen from him, a £40m performance.

If Saliba comes back next season hope we give him a go.

Agreed he’s a 20M player at best

He was brilliant against City.
One of the most complete CBs in the PL.

Put his doubters to bed.

He will only dp that when he performs consistently at that level

He has 2 hills to climb, the first those that don't rate him and the second those that think he is not worth anywhere near the money we paid.

He needs consistently high level performances before both camps have their arguments ended. One game doth not do it!

Been bang average overall

He's got better but that's not hard considering how low he started

6/10 overall

For 50m.

Lol

Yep.

Shame the anti-Arteta brigade are still putting a downer on one of our good young players.

Makes me laugh that people call a 50 million signing a young player. When you sign a CB for 50 million you don’t buy a work in progress, you buy the finished article.

He’s been hot and cold, sometimes good, sometimes not so good, needs to cut out the mistakes.

His age defines how young or old he is , not his price tag.

This is his second season in the PL.
He's been excellent and is a key part of not just our back 5 but also springing attacks.

Arsenal fans are happy, you may not be, but that is irrelevant.
He's another that has made you look pretty silly.

He’s 24 so in his mid 20s, he’s not a young player at all, like I said we paid 50 million for the finished article, you can make all the excuses you like but they don’t wash.

Like I said he’s been OK, made plenty of errors since he arrived, he’s not made anyone look silly at all, except those that were saying he’s worth paying 50 million for which clearly he isn’t.

You can cut out your line about Arsenal fans because it’s something you fabricated, you don’t decide that and can’t speak for others.

I don't see how anyone who continually moans about the club, the manager, the players, the performances, and just about everything else related to Arsenal can call themselves a fan.

A critic maybe, or I can think of several other things- but none of them are fan.

Fans can be critical, they don’t all have to have blind faith.

Maybe some are tired of the same old stuff and excuses for 15 years. A few weeks of half decent performances don’t suddenly change everything for everyone and not everyone thinks Arteta is the reason for it, as someone else posted there are other factors as well.

What we paid for - the decision we took - is not something you would understand.
What you think we were doing is irrelevant.
The club specifically said they were buying young players to build a squad and with White in mind they specifically said they bought him for a specific role in the style of play that Arteta wanted.
Best you leave it to Arteta and Edu - they are infinitely more knowledgeable than you.

Long may Benjamin continue to play well.

He’s 24 he’s not a “young player” that’s not me saying that it’s fact, players in their mid 20s are not “young players”.

I don’t have to agree with what the club do or don’t do, we paid 50 million, he doesn’t look like a 50 million defender, therefore we overpaid, simple really.
