Good record v Villarreal

CL semi final win in 2006 when the flop choked the penalty and a QF win in 2009

P4 W2 D2 L0 F5 A1

Never won at their ground but we've won both at ours.

Easy semi final.

Looking forward to the final against Utd.
Any game against them is a good event.

Yep, this one is extra spicy.

Hopefully we get them out the way and get to that final!!

We need to win this badly, I don't care if its Utd, Roma or whoever, whoever it is needs to be run over to get that trophy and CL ticket.

It will transform our season and next season.

Don't rate the competition but I can acknowledge it will help our future if we win this

Such a naive thing to say, Emery knows our squad just as much a Arteta, while also having a point to prove so he’ll be extra motivated

Don’t forget he’s a specialist in this competition, he’s a 3 time winner, made it to the final with us and currently on the way to possible 5th final.

Last but not least theirs no such thing as an easy game when it comes to Arsenal, 10/11 carling cup final against relegated Birmingham, 12/13 we go out in the semi final of carling cup against league two Bradford side, last year we got knocked out of this competition by Olympiacos. I could go on forever by now with examples, if you’ve supported Arsenal long enough you should know these are the ones to worry about just as much as the big games.

Saka and ESR hopefully to show the manager that made them how good they are and knock him out.

Minus Ramsey, our squad is stronger in almost every respect compared to 2019. Our back line then was AMN, Mustafi, Sok/Koscielny and Monreal. That we got to the final at all was a minor miracle.

Villarreal have Moreno and Alcacer up top, two Spurs rejects Capoue and Foyth and one highly rated CB in Pau Torres. That's it.

I didn't hate Emery, but it was clear that he could not instill the confidence and belief that we could win Europa. We had beat Chelsea handily a couple of months prior in the league but fell apart at Baku. At Villarreal he's definitely more comfortable so the belief will be there.

We have a clearly stronger squad, but the mindset gap from the Wenger era is still there.

It's possible to lose easy games, but an easy game it is , nonetheless.

It'll be a very tough game. Only the big 3 in Spain have lost less than them. They draw far too many.

Have some quality players.

We need our players to step up

It could be tough.

Really depends on us.

If we go back to playing that crap slow, pass backwards football then we'll make this hard work, but if we play to this teams attacking potential then no, Villareal won't be able to handle us but the issue is, that's the most effective our attack has been in such a short space of time between goals .......... we need the team to be ready for it again.

Thankfully we seem to be hitting a bit of form in our attacking fluidity.

Worried for this one, too much on the line against the former don who’s a specialist in B trophies. Can see us going out and facing the headlines.

Villarreal will be much more of a challenge though we should be able to win this, we dispatched of Prague easily in the end, but Villarreal are a cut above.
