Partey and Gabriel probably cost more than Slavia's entire first XI.

Expecting an uncomplicated win against them has nothing to do with not respecting the opponent. If we struggle to beat them, then our recruitment, squad and tactics are massively underperforming considering the investment that's been made.

Thats a "Captain Obvious" comment though Phil.

Mathematically Sheffield United had a chance of winning the league, but we all knew that is was never gonna happen. We don't need to be told "mathematically Sheff Utd could have won the league". Similarly, its obvious that every team has a chance to win a football match, however small, but given who we are and who we are playing, if we play to 70% of our ability we win the game comfortably. If we turn up - we win, its that simple.

My Saturday night lockdown takeaway special offer cost more than Slavia's entire squad.

It's like being worried that a non League side will beat us in the FA Cup. Sure, miracles CAN happen, but don't be worried about them.

This is an easy game where a 2/10 performance from us is plenty.
There are a few U23 players that should be given a chance to play.

I mean seriously, it's apparently a 'huge' tournament and we get to play Slavia Prague - and Man Utd get to play Granada ????
Neither of those teams would stay up in the Championship.

Basically, as long we play to 50% of our ability, we're in the final.
If Utd slip up before the final, we've won it.
Great.

Yikes.

We drew with Burnley ffs.

I'm not taking Slavia lightly at all.

I always feel more at ease with the Spanish or Italian teams because they play a slower game, more tactical which actually suits AFC, Eastern European teams attack more aggressively and with our clown defense, that could end up being dangerous ......... ask Spurs.

Drew and lost to Burnley

Slavia prague far better than them.

They've beaten teams better than us already.

It'll be a lot of work.

He's right. Slavia's strikers couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, and proved it several times today. That's the only reason it was a draw, and not a loss.

Should have played the U23s.
We gave a 1/10 performance.
needed a 2/10.

Spot on Keown - Arteta gave Prague too much respect.
They are not good enough to be given any respect.

Everything said is correct.
Prague are absolutely terrible.

Can't really blame our players for treating a tournament like this as a training match.

You live in dreamland if you think Slavia Praha would get relegated from the Championship.

Can't be arsed re-enumerating the sides they have beaten and/or eliminated in the last 3 years alone, but it's a whole host of teams who'd walk the Championship with their B team.
